Mission

Nym Technologies builds privacy infrastructure that protects users' data and metadata from surveillance at the network level. The company develops a decentralized mixnet that offers stronger privacy guarantees than traditional VPNs or Tor by mixing network traffic through multiple nodes, making traffic analysis virtually impossible.

The Nym mixnet uses economic incentives and zero-knowledge proofs to create a self-sustaining privacy network. Unlike single-hop proxy services, Nym routes encrypted packets through multiple mix nodes that shuffle traffic from many users, breaking surveillance patterns at the protocol layer.
